what you learned from observing the children in the videos.
Bookends of War
I noticed how much pedagogy is connected with this project. The students are engaged and actively participating with the work. They use technology, reading, writing, and social studies. They had all kinds of equipment, and there was a sense of responsibility that was visible when viewing the kids. Also, there was alot of group cooperation, critical thinking, and problem solving skills. I learned that the kids have the opportunity to express themselves better and visibly see their learning and progress by using these skills combined with technology. It almost seems as if Also, all the children that were interviewed saw the value of technology.
Inside Kapunahala
I noticed that the children are exposed to technology at such a young age. Each year the technology they learned the last year builds on their new school year. It almost seems as if the children are able to improve their expression and writing by understanding meaning, clarity, voice expression, and communication to an audience by feeling like they are a part of a tv show. I learned that technology actually improves performance in oral and writing skills.
