When I first walked into the third grade, bilingual classroom at Jackson Elementary School, I noticed that there were more than 10 computers in the room. As a matter of fact, the classroom that I am in has the most computers out of any other classroom. My teacher explained to us that there are computers for every 1-2 students. She said she had to take a special course, and then they granted her to have this many computers in her classroom. The programs in all the computers include:
-Google Earth
-Kidsperation
-Microsoft Office
-Typing pal
-Shapes
-Photostory
-Windows Media Player
Aside from this, there is also a projector, TV, and DVD player. I definitely have opportunities to use technology in the classroom. I will be teaching social studies tomorrow, using Google Earth.
