TPACK- It's a necessity!

TPACK stands for Technological Pedagogical And Content Knowledge. This is extremely important for a teacher to incorporate in a classroom because it is teaching at a new level. In this day and age, technology is quickly integrating with our education. Therefore, technology can be used for the teacher's advantage of presenting new information, or a new lesson. However, a teacher cannot just show a movie and say that they taught a class through a movie, and so they used technology. There are certain characteristics and guidelines to follow: Students need to be engaged through technology that has a specified content AND that uses pedogogical methods within the content. In this manner, students will receive a higher level of achievement and knowledge. This also becomes a more meaningful and insightful way of learning for the student.
